Who: Formal and non-formal educators interested in Great Lakes science and education.

What: GLEAMS Past President, Mandi Young, will share about the investigations taking place aboard the R/V Lake Guardian from an educator's perspective. Mandi will provide a brief overview of each project before taking a deeper dive into the specific project she is involved with. Each project has accompanying lessons that will be shared with attendees.

Project Topics:

How zooplankton communities change from nearshore to offshore and from day to night

How zooplankton community composition affects larval fish diet selection

How water color and incoming light affect water chemistry and photosynthesis
